Important change in the update

Team Hope will not be able to enter the East Lobby as was stated in the last bulletin. Everyone must enter through the outside access to room T5 which is near the East Lobby entrance.

Because of The Love and Respect conference, Calvary Chapel cannot allow Team Hope members to enter the church anywhere except T5.

Sorry for the confusion. We are looking forward to seeing you there.

Important Update

Due to the Love & Respect marriage conference, Team Hope will be meeting in room T5 for prayer this week instead of the usual prayer room.

Also, we will not be able to enter the church from the main lobby this week. Instead, we will have to enter from the east lobby entrance.

Prayer time is still 6:45-7:45pm.

Be blessed!

Merry Christ filled Christmas!

We just wanted to wish everyone a blessed Christmas filled with joyous reminders of the grace and mercy that God poured out upon us with the birth of His Son, our Savior Christ Jesus The Lord.

Hopefully we don't need any reminders of what Christmas is about, but it's good to never loose sight of it. Please listen to this short, 2 minute audio clip called "Mary's Christmas Dream". Share it with other who may not understand the 'reason for the season'.

Marry's Christmas Dream

Have a blessed, joyous Christmas!

Bible Passage

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."
When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."
So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

Things to Examine

Paul Washer Quote
"You see, here’s the thing, and I get ostracised for this, I don’t care.
A persons got ten minutes to live and they don’t know Christ.
Don’t contemplate the theological ramifications of witnessing to a wrong person.
Witness to them! Plead with them!
Do not manipulate, there is a difference between manipulation and pleading.
Plead with them to come to Christ."

Memory Passage

"Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, like men waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. I tell you the truth, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them."

Things to Examine

Paul Washer Quote
A great preacher once said, “I would rather hear it said, 'that a man said something in his message that made many people think less of him; he uttered most distasteful sentiments; he did nothing but drive at us with the Word of the Lord while he was preaching. His one aim was to bring us to repentance and faith in Christ.'
That is the kind of man who the Lord delights to bless.”
He also said. “Ministers who do not aim to cut deep are not worth their salt. God never sent a man who never troubles men's consciences.”
How do you trouble the deadened consciences of a dying world?
You preach the moral Law, coupled with the surety of future punishment.
You speak of God's holiness and of His wrath.
These are not the things the world wants to hear, but hear them they must is we want them to be saved.
There goes another minute.
Gone forever.
Go and share the Gospel while you still have time.

Memory Passage

On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him." By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.

Things to Examine

Paul Washer Quote
Here stands God on the day of creation.
He looks at stars and He says:
All you stars move yourself to this place
and start in this order
And move in a circle
And move exactly as I tell you,
Until I give you another word.
Planets-pick yourself up and whirl,
Make this formation at my command,
Until I give you another word.
He looks at mountains and says
Be lifted up and they obey him.
He tells valleys Be cast down and they obey him.
He looks at the sea and says You will come this far, and the sea obeys.
Then, He looks at man and says Come and man goes No!
Does that bother anyone?

Memory Passage

This is what the LORD says:
"Cursed is the one who trusts in man,
who depends on flesh for his strength
and whose heart turns away from the LORD.

He will be like a bush in the wastelands;
he will not see prosperity when it comes.
He will dwell in the parched places of the desert,
in a salt land where no one lives.

"But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
whose confidence is in him.

He will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit."

Things to Examine

Ray Comfort

There is no neutral ground in the battle for souls of men and women. We are either gathering or we are scattering for the Kingdom of God. We have been given clear battle orders. He who reads them cannot but hear the “sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.” (Jeremiah 4:19)
How many sermons do we have to take in before we give out? The average twelve year old Christian has listened to close to 1800 sermons. How many do you think you have listened to? Have they been sermons to exhort you to do the will of God and reach out to the lost? If not, take initiative … “Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching … do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.” (2 Timothy 2:4-5)
There goes another minute.
Gone forever.
Go share your faith while you still have time.
